Music begins where the possibilities of language end.

I’m a classically trained, professional violinist, specializing in solo acoustic and electric violin. I love working with couples and event planners, and I can’t wait to talk to you about all things music!

A little bit about me: I’ve been playing violin since I was 4 and I’ve been doing paid violin gigs since I was 10 as a soloist and with a quartet. I’ve traveled the world with my violin, including performing in England, Italy, China, Austria, South Korea, Germany and Japan.

In 2021, I have over 30 scheduled events as a solo violinist, which is pretty good for a working attorney! During gig season, I travel around Central Iowa, including this year, to Guthrie Center, Ankeny, Ames, Prole and Dennison, and around the Des Moines metro area, I’ve played at the Des Moines Botanical Center, Barnes Place, The Loft DSM, Bash Events & Catering, The River Center, The Surety Hotel, Jasper Winery, Decades, Scottish Rite Consistory and The Tea Room, to name a few!

As Seen on The Knot

The sound of the violin by itself is lovely - romantic, intimate, and classic. I love the sound of a violin on its own, and I also love the sound of the violin being accompanied by other instruments. These days, if I’m not playing solo violin, I’m playing my violin accompanied by pre-recorded backup track - it can provide a fuller profile of a piece to add that something special to your event or wedding. You can book either solo violin or solo violin with back-ups to match the mood and theme of your event!

I love classical music, but since being trained at the Preucil School of Music by the exemplary Doris Preucil and graduating with a Bachelor of Music in Music Performance at the University of Iowa, I’ve expanded my repertoire to include songs by artists like Christin Perri (A Thousand Years), the Beatles (all of their songs), Leonard Cohen (Hallelujah), some fan favorites like Bohemian Rhapsody (Queen) and numerous others. Check out my ever expanding repertoire!
